March Events - Training and Socialising with GFIA

GFIA was delighted to host two successful events this March, bringing together members and industry professionals for both learning and networking in a relaxed, engaging setting.

Paul Meadows Training: “How the Financial Markets Really Work”

We were pleased to welcome Paul Meadows for a highly engaging and insightful one-day training session at The Eliott Hotel. The programme attracted a strong turnout, reflecting the continued appetite within Gibraltar’s financial services community for practical, high-quality learning.

The session delivered exactly what it promised — a clear, real-world understanding of how global financial markets operate. Attendees particularly valued the way complex topics such as Foreign Exchange, bonds, equities and derivatives were broken down into accessible, relevant insights, with a focus on how these markets interconnect in practice.

The interactive nature of the course encouraged discussion and participation throughout the day, making it not only informative but genuinely engaging. Feedback from attendees has been extremely positive, with many highlighting the clarity of delivery and practical application as key takeaways.

GFIA Members’ Wine & Cheese Evening

Following the training, we were equally delighted with the fantastic turnout at our Members’ Wine & Cheese Evening at The Wine Shop.

The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for members to connect in a more informal setting, strengthening relationships across the industry. With a relaxed atmosphere, great conversation and, of course, excellent wine and cheese, the event was a great reminder of the value of coming together as a community.

Looking Ahead

These events reflect GFIA’s ongoing commitment to providing both professional development opportunities and meaningful networking experiences for our members. We look forward to building on this momentum with further events throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make both events such a success.
